The Christian Union Bible College is operated as a ministry of the General Council of Christian Union of the United States of America. This council has existed since 1864. We are incorporated in the State of Ohio as a nonprofit corporation.
The State of Ohio prohibits the issuing of degrees by an institution that is not accredited by a national, regional, or professional agency of approval. The Christian Union Bible College is not accredited at this time, therefore, the Christian Union Bible College is not certified by the Ohio Board of Regents or the state of Ohio to grant Degrees. However, the institution may issue certificates and diplomas according to the Ohio Revised Code section 1713.02 paragraph E.
We are listed in the National Evangelical Directory of the National Association of Evangelicals. We have applied for membership in the Evangelical Training Association formerly known as the E.T.T.A. Our IRS ID No. is 31-0940855. Our ACT Code is 3367. We continue to work toward recognized accreditation; such as that offered by the Association for Biblical Higher Education (AABC).
STATEMENT OF STANDARDS
At the Christian Union Bible College we seek to maintain high standards of Christian conduct and academic excellence, however, we make no claims that our programs and diplomas will be accepted by the secular sector and other religious bodies.
Since we are a nonprofit private Christian agency for Christian ministries we must continue to maintain standards that are ethical and Christian.
We are not a so-called, "diploma mill," but a college that desires to use traditional and non-traditional methods in educating its students. Those who have transferred to other accredited institutions have been well prepared by CUBC and thus shortened their stay at the new college. Many institutions accept our students on a probationary basis. If interested in changing a diploma to a bachelor degree it would be wise to contact the school of your choice and be advised by them. We will supply free transcripts upon your request as you investigate possible colleges. At CUBC, we use many of the textbooks used at other recognized colleges
